Two of those trim levels–the entry-level MDX and Technology Package–can be configured in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, while the remaining four trims are only available in all-wheel drive. For the 2022 model year, the Acura MDX features the first-ever Acura MDX Type S, which boasts upgraded features like Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, 21-inch wheels, a turbocharged V6 engine, and larger Brembo brake calipers.
